Richard is amazing. He worked so hard and dealt with unexpected events so well. The man is a diamond. I bought my boat through him a couple of weeks ago. At my request he sorted a survey and sea trial. He got work done the survey flagged super quick- within 5 days. On the day of her being brought over to Haslar Marina from Poole, he even fixed a new problem of the starter motor saying ‘no I’m not working anymore!’ And she made it to her new home only a few hours late. Richard, thank you so much, you made the experience of buying our first boat very straightforward. You do the best for boat, buyer and seller and that’s not easy

Richard has just sold our cruiser for us. He did an amazing job. Excellent communication and made everything so easy for us in the process. He gave us excellent advice on preparing the boat for sale, was super helpful with arranging all activities including the sea trial he made it feel effortless. I highly recommend Origin Yachts. Richard was very pro-active and approachable with all aspects of our boat sale and kept us well informed throughout. He also went above and beyond what we expected when needed, towing our boat trailer and helping me take the boat out of the water when we were temporarily without towing capability. I am giving Richard at Origin Yachts 5 starts only because I can’t give him 6. Buying your first boat is not easy! I had no idea what to look for and what to avoid. Meeting a couple of uninterested brokers who would have sold me a lemon if I just took it, did not make it any easier.. then I met Richard and Sandiana II, one of the best boats I had seen. From our very first telephone conversation I knew I was dealing with a genuine nice person and somebody who prides himself in helping and giving the best service possible. Richard did not only sold me a boat, he guided me through a process I did not fully understand step by step. He did say to me: “I’ll help you as much as I can”, and he did. I knew I could trust him. He not only arranged for my new boat to have the mast taken down for transportation, but when I went to try and take the sails off for the first time he suddenly appeared and actually helped me doing it. It wasn’t an easy job, it took hours and he did not have to. Then he kept liaising with the staff at the marina where the boat was on my behalf to arrange everything so that I could find it hoisted and ready to go on the collection morning. He actually went there to check the night before to let me know all was in place. If you ever have to choose between two boats and one is in the Origin Yachts portfolio, not only it’s probably going to be the better one, but just go with Richard’s because you are guaranteed the perfect boat purchasing experience.

We recently took the decision to switch from away from sailing to motor boats. As we were complete novices to the world of motor boating we greatly appreciated Richard's patience and helpful advice during our search.
